The healthcare sector is one of the most closely watched industries in society. At the same time, it is also a field that frequently faces public scrutiny and communication challenges. Improving communication practices within the healthcare system and equipping healthcare leaders with effective communication skills have therefore become increasingly important.
In August 2014, PPR Vietnam successfully organized a specialized Public Relations (PR) Training Program for healthcare leaders in Yen Bai Province. The program was specifically designed for senior managers from hospitals and the Yen Bai Provincial Department of Health, focusing on essential communication, public relations, branding, and crisis communication management skills.
Continuing a Successful Partnership with the Healthcare Sector
This training program built upon the successful collaboration between PPR Vietnam and Vietnam’s healthcare sector, which began in 2013 through communication consulting and training initiatives with Bach Mai Hospital.
Following the positive outcomes of those programs, PPR Vietnam was once again selected in 2014 to deliver a series of communication consulting and professional training programs for healthcare leaders at both provincial and central levels across Vietnam.

Practical Communication Skills for Modern Healthcare Leadership
One of the most significant achievements of the training program was its ability to reshape the traditional mindset that “patients will naturally come to the hospital.”
Participants gained a deeper understanding of how strategic communication contributes to building, maintaining, and protecting both personal and organizational reputations. The course emphasized the importance of public relations in strengthening the image of public healthcare institutions and fostering greater public trust.
Healthcare leaders were introduced to practical communication techniques that can be applied in daily management, media relations, stakeholder engagement, and crisis response, enabling them to communicate more effectively with patients, the public, and the media.
Led by an Experienced Strategic Communication Expert
The training and consulting sessions were delivered by Ms. Nguyen Thi Xuan Quynh, Chief Executive Officer of PPR Vietnam and a highly experienced consultant specializing in strategic communications and marketing.
Drawing on many years of professional experience, Ms. Quynh shared practical knowledge, real-world case studies, and actionable communication strategies tailored to the unique challenges faced by healthcare organizations.
Participants—many of whom were key decision-makers and senior leaders within Yen Bai’s healthcare system—expressed their appreciation for the practical teaching approach and highly relevant consulting provided by both the instructor and PPR Vietnam.
Continuing Professional Development
Following the success of this program, PPR Vietnam planned to continue delivering communication consulting and professional training programs throughout 2014, reaffirming its commitment to supporting healthcare organizations in strengthening leadership communication, public relations, and institutional reputation.
