PPR Vietnam Launches the Life Insurance Communications Project

Recognizing the practical benefits and humanitarian values that life insurance brings to people’s lives, while also understanding that many Vietnamese still have misconceptions and negative perceptions about this type of financial product, PPR Vietnam launched the “Life Insurance and Life” communications project. The initiative aims to provide the public with a comprehensive and accurate understanding of life insurance while promoting a proactive mindset toward future financial protection and risk management.

In July 2016, PPR Vietnam was selected by the Insurance Association of Vietnam to implement the communications activities for this project.

The project began with the design and development of baovecuocsong.com, a dedicated online information portal providing official, objective, and comprehensive information about life insurance in Vietnam. Through the website, the public can easily access useful resources, including the latest news, industry events, policy updates, in-depth analyses of life insurance products, educational materials explaining the fundamentals of life insurance, as well as professional advice and expert insights from leading specialists in the industry.

To communicate the project’s message effectively and reach a broad audience, PPR Vietnam implemented an integrated communications strategy utilizing a wide range of media channels, including Google, radio, public loudspeaker systems, television, newspapers, and other mass media platforms.

Although the project had only recently been launched, PPR Vietnam quickly achieved encouraging communications results.

One of the project’s highlights was the live online discussion hosted by Dân Trí Newspaper on August 25, 2016.

The discussion featured several distinguished experts, including:

  • Mr. Phung Dac Loc, Secretary General of the Insurance Association of Vietnam.
  • Assoc. Prof. Dr. Doan Minh Phung, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Banking and Insurance, Academy of Finance.
  • Mr. Dang Ngoc Chau, Attorney-at-Law from the Law Office of Dang Ngoc Chau, Ho Chi Minh City Bar Association.

The online discussion attracted significant public interest and generated a large number of questions from readers.

While similar online discussions typically received between 100 and 300 likes and shares, the “Insurance and Life” discussion generated approximately 2,700 likes and shares, along with numerous comments and questions from the public.

In addition, several major online news platforms, including Tiếp Thị Newspaper, BizLIVE, and CafeF, republished the discussion, further extending the campaign’s reach and impact.

PPR Vietnam will continue to partner with the Insurance Association of Vietnam and organizations within the life insurance industry to provide strategic consulting and implement future marketing and public relations initiatives.
